In 2005, a delegation of New Zealand All Blacks-
including three former captains - visited Letterkenny RFC. They came to join with the club in paying tribute to one of world rugby's most legendary figures, Co. Donegal-born Dave Gallaher.

Born just a few miles from Letterkenny, he was the first man to captain the famous All Blacks and played in the first ever match involving the British and Irish Lions.
