U19 Letterkenny Girls RFC V Malone RFC match report
At Letterkenny Rugby Club today (Sun) Malone(Belfast) under 19 and u16 girls travelled down to challenge the local Letterkenny squads. Although weather conditions were cold and wet both teams kept their heads held high and spirits up. Malone had a good attack line and some strong plays from their number 6 allowed malone to penetrate the Letterkenny  girls on several occasions. Letterkenny put up a good defence with some good tackles from Orla Brennan, Jaz Carney and Laura Feely. Malone also had some good breaks but were soon stopped with some good chasing and tackling from Donna Redmond and Kelly Bennett who got “Player of the Match”. Letterkenny preformed well under the pressure and kept up a good fight Right to the final whistle. The Letterkenny Girls are now looking forward to their next game against Virginia, Cavan in a few weeks.
